What this site does
Freelancer Money Calculators turns common self-employment questions into simple estimates: how much to set aside for quarterly taxes, what hourly rate supports a target income, what gig work pays after costs, and how much financial runway you have.
How the calculators are built
Each calculator uses the numbers you enter and shows the core assumptions beneath the result. The formulas favor understandable planning estimates over false precision. Where a result depends on a rate—such as taxes, vehicle costs, or income volatility—you choose that rate.
Editorial standard
Calculator explanations are written in plain language, material limitations are shown near the result, and inputs are not presented as personal recommendations. The goal is to make tradeoffs easier to see, not to replace a qualified professional.
Important limitation
These tools provide general estimates only. They do not account for every tax rule, benefit, credit, filing status, contract term, or personal circumstance. For a decision with tax, legal, or investment consequences, verify the result with an appropriately qualified professional.
Calculator inputs
The numbers you enter are processed in your browser to produce an estimate. This site does not save those inputs, create an account from them, or send them to a site database.
Cookies and advertising
This version of the site does not set its own cookies and does not currently display advertising. If advertising or analytics are added later, this policy will be updated before those services are enabled, including information about cookies and available choices.
Technical services
The service that hosts and delivers this page may process standard technical information—such as an IP address, browser type, and request time—for delivery, security, and reliability. The page also requests its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means the browser connects to Google to load them.
Sensitive information
Do not enter Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive personal information. None of the calculators needs those details.
Questions
See the Contact page for the current way to report a privacy concern.
Informational use only
The calculators and explanations are provided for general educational and planning purposes. They are not tax, legal, accounting, investment, or other professional advice, and they do not create a professional-client relationship.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the inputs you choose and for independently checking a result before acting on it. Laws, rates, costs, and personal circumstances change, and a simplified calculator cannot capture every factor.
No guarantee
The site is provided as available without a guarantee that every estimate will be complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent allowed by law, the site is not responsible for losses resulting from reliance on a calculator result.
Acceptable use
You may use the calculators for personal or business planning. Do not interfere with the site, attempt to misuse its code or delivery systems, or use it in a way that violates applicable law.
Changes
The calculators, explanations, and these terms may be revised as formulas, features, or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest published revision.
Contact availability
This site is currently in preview and does not yet have a public support inbox. A working contact address will be published here before the site launches on its own domain.
Please do not send sensitive financial information. A useful calculation report needs only the calculator name, rounded example inputs, the result you received, and the result you expected.
What to include in a report
- The calculator you used.
- The browser and device type.
- Rounded, non-sensitive example numbers that reproduce the issue.
- A short explanation of what seemed incorrect or unclear.
